Our Work With The Planning Inspectorate

Now IT are Working on the development of a new HR Service Desk and MI Reporting suite as well as wider HR and Finance Process Reviews.

Current Tasks include:



  • Work with users and the business to identify business needs in key business areas currently operating using manual processes or workarounds
  • Conduct interviews with process customers to understand pain points and produce summary reports.
  • Map processes identifying pain points, duplication, multiple hand offs etc.
  • Suggest improvements including software that could be used to resolve issues.
  • Undertake detailed process redesign to identify where transactional work can be reduced or moved to partners (or where appropriate to self- service within PINS) and where there are opportunities to enhance SAP or other system functionality.
  • Ensure handover of process documentation to process owners.
  • Produce as is and to be corporate systems map for DCS with input from heads of service and service managers and present to DCS Leadership team.
  • Support implementation of changes identified through process review.
  • Report progress, issues and risks to DCS or board.
  • · Support implementation of continuous improvement culture in corporate services. · Business readiness for onboarding new system or changes to existing system


Deliverables:



  • DCS as-is process maps for agreed number of unmapped processes
  • List of key pain points and opportunities
  • Set of signed off to-be DCS process maps
  • Report and log risk, actions, issues and dependencies
  • Reports to show the progress of process review and change implementation
